After GOI’s historic decision to cancel class 12 board exams 2021 of CBSE board, other boards and state boards are taking rapid decisions one by one.
Today, Odisha has announced cancelled of CHSE 12th exams. And Karnataka has cancelled 2nd PUC exams, but will hold SSLC exams in July, for 2 papers.
Yesterday, UP Board, and Goa Board have announced cancellation of class 12 exams in the respective state boards.
Before them, RBSE informed the press that RBSE 10th, 12th exams have been cancelled. Previously, Varsha Gaikwad announced that Maharashtra HSC exams have been cancelled. Also, Uttarakhand Board has announced that they have cancelled class 12 board exams. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan has also announced that MP board class 12 exams are now cancelled. Before him, Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani announced that GSEB 12th exams stand cancelled. Before that, minutes after PMO press release on 12th exams decision, CISCE board announced cancellation of ISC 12th exams. Then, Haryana Education Minister reportedly informed PTI that HBSE 12th exams will not be held.
The most debated states at the moment are WB, and Assam, where initially the government was inclined towards conducting exams, and in some, dates are on the verge of announcement. It is anticipated that all states will announce their decisions today itself.

Odisha Board Exams for 12th Cancelled!
The Chief Minister has called for the cancellation of the annual Class XII examinations conducted by the Council for Higher Education this year in view of the health protection of students, teachers and parents in the state in the event of a crisis.
In addition, the Chief Minister has directed that the competence assessment of Class XII students be done within the stipulated time frame on the advice of experts. If any student is not satisfied with the assessment, they can take the test at a later date if they wish.
The Chief Minister lauded the efforts, determination and patience of the students and their family members in tackling the sensitive situation of COVID19. “Life is first and foremost,” he said. However, it can be seen that the notice number is jac/ptt/1427/20-secy/269/21. Upon investigation it can be seen that jac/ptt/1427/20-secy/269/21 is the notice dated April 17, 2021, about postponement of exam.

Maharashtra HSC Class 12 Board Exam 2021 Latest News
Has class 12 exam in Maharashtra board been cancelled or not? Students are asking this question because board has not published any notice on this.
Please note that Varsha Gaikwad announced yesterday that they want to cancel the exams, and for that, they have sent a proposal to the disaster management authority. Class 12 Board Exam 2021: What is Objective Criteria Meaning in CBSE Board?
Now that CBSE has cancelled class 12th board exams, the next step is to announce the criteria for result. As per PMO’s press release yesterday, “CBSE will take steps to compile the results of class XII students as per a well-defined objective criteria in a time-bound manner“.
At this moment, CBSE is yet to either decide or announce the objective criteria.
It is expected that the criteria will involve using either only class 12 internal marks of assignments, half yearly, and pre board exams; or it can also make use of class 11 scores. A decision and announcement on the precise criteria is expected soon.

How Will DU Take Admission in 2021? Acting VC Says CUCET Can Be A Good Way
Delhi University, Mumbai University, and the plethora of universities in India usually offer admission based on merit of class 12 exams. With the board exams cancelled, whether the varsities will consider result based on internals to determine cut offs is a big question. At the moment, the most likely solution seems to be CUCET – Central Universities Common Entrance Test.
As per latest reports, acting VC of DU, PC Joshi has said that DU will adopt a fair method for admissions, and CUCET can be a good way. The CUCET committee had submitted its report to the Education Ministry earlier, however a final call on holding the exams is as of now, pending.

Rahil Gupta, Editor in Chief of Cross Town News, a weekly newspaper based in Jammu reports that the Jammu Kashmir LG has said that a decision on JKBOSE 12th board exams 2021 will be taken soon. Like CBSE exams, JK 12th board exams should also be cancelled.

NIOS Board Exam Cancelled Notice 2021 Awaited; Learners Expect Open School To Take CBSE, ICSE Route
India’s largest open schooling organization, the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is now expected to decide upon cancellation of 10th, 12th exams. While students are demanding for the same, in the case of NIOS things could be a bit different. In NIOS, learners from a plethora of background get the opportunity to complete their education without the need of brick and mortar schools. It is not clear how NIOS will be able to compile final year results, in case the board exam gets cancelled. At the moment, there seems to be equal chances of the exam getting postponed, and cancelled; however chances of exam happening amidst the pandemic are low.

Class 12 Board Exam 2021 Latest News: Live – Karnataka SSLC Exam Time Table 2021, PUC Board Current News Update Today
Until a few days ago, it was certain that KSEEB will conduct the Karnataka SSLC 10th exams, and PUE will hold the PUC 12th exams. The boards were on the verge of announcing time tables.
However after cancellation of CBSE 12th exams yesterday, Karnataka Education Minister Suresh Kumar said that they will take a relevant decision soon, most probably today.
Now there seems to be a slim chance that both SSLC and PUC exams may get cancelled.

Class 12 Board Exam 2021 Latest News: Live – Which States Have Cancelled 12th Exams?
After CBSE, only two boards have announced cancellation of class 12 exams. One is CISCE (read – ISC exams cancelled), and the other is the state board of Haryana, i.e. HBSE (read – HBSE 12th exams cancelled). Both have not announced the exact result criteria. However in the case if ISC, schools have already started compiling 11th, 12th internal marks of ISC students. This process will go on till June 7, 2021, after which, result will be announced.
