The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education(GBSHSE) will announce the Goa SSC Result on July 13, 2021. The result will be announced online, at gbshse.info. Recently, the board has released a detailed outline for new result assessment process. The result for SSC will now be released on the basis of marks secured in the internals and performance in class 9th.
Until now, the result for SSC was determined by giving 20% weightage to internals and 80% weightage to board exams. However, this year, due to the pandemic, the exams have been cancelled. Hence, as per the new marks policy the assessment will be done by giving 20% weightage to internals and 80% weightage to class 9th marks.
To do so, the Goa education board, have divided performance of the candidates into 4 categories, which are Formative I, Formative II, Term Exam / Unit Test / Periodical Test / Preliminary Exams / Year End Assessment, and Class 9th Marks. Under Formative I and II, 25 marks are for non-practical subjects, 20 marks are for practical subjects, and 25 marks for pre-vocational subjects. The non-practical marks for the term exams is 20 and for practical it is 15. For pre-vocational it is 10. Lastly, maximum marks in class 9th is 10, 10, and 5 in non-practical, practical, and pre-vocation subjects.
If the school has conducted more than one periodic tests then it is required to derive an average of all the marks scored in all the exams. However, if different schools conduct different type of assessment test then they are required to choose the best performance of the candidate out of all the tests. Hence, the school can choose the best performance of the candidate in any of the exam.
