A notice claiming to be of JAC 12th exams 2021 cancellation has been doing the rounds on social media since morning. The notice says that the Jharkhand Academic Council has cancelled the class 12 board exams. However it is clarified that the notice is fake, the council has not taken any such decision.
Along with the fake notice, rumors of exam cancellation update at jac.nic.in have also been spread. It is informed that no website as jac.nic.in exists, the official website of JAC is jac.jharkhand.gov.in, and even there, no such update has been published.

The notice in question is a morphed / photoshopped version of an older actual notice, here is the report.
This is the fake notice:

The notice claims to be printed on June 3, 2021. The language used in the notice is also inconspicuously official. However what gives it away is the serial number. You can see that the notice number is supposedly jac/ptt/1427/20-secy/269/21.
However, a quick search will show that jac/ptt/1427/20-secy/269/21 belongs to an older, official notice published by JAC. The actual notice jac/ptt/1427/20-secy/269/21 was published on April 17, 2021, to announce postponement of board exams.

Earlier in the day, Prabhat Khabhar, a popular daily of the state, had reported on the JAC board exams. As per all reports insofar, the board has come to a decision to cancel or hold exams. It seems like exam can be cancelled, but official notice is awaited.
JAC had initially scheduled the class 10th, 12th board exams from May 4 to 21, 2021. However the decision to postpone exams was taken in April itself. The board had, at that time, decide to review the situation in June. With all state boards cancelling exams one by one, it now seems that JAC board will also decide soon.
State CM Hemant Soren expressed his views on the matter earlier. He said that as per suggestions received from various stakeholders, it is in the best interests of students to not hold the exam. It is not feasible, even with several social distancing measures, to ensure complete safety when holding board exams at such scale.
An official decision is expected soon.
