The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has extended the last date to apply for ALP and Group D Recruitment. Earlier, the candidates could apply for RRB ALP and Technician Recruitment 2018 until March 05 but now they can submit the form till March 31, 2018.
Similarly, the deadline to submit the application form for RRB Group D Recruitment 2018 has also been changed from March 12 to March 31, 2018. It is important to note that the candidates who were not eligible earlier but are now will be able to apply from February 28, 2018. They are getting almost a month to apply for the respective recruitment.
For both the exams, candidates can only apply online. The application fee for the candidates is Rs. 500. However, the candidates belonging to SC / ST / Ex-Serviceman / PwD / Female / Transgender / Minorities / Economically backward class category need to pay Rs. 250 only.

Railway jobs are the most awaited recruitment ever. Indian Railway announces vacancies for lakhs of posts and for it, the candidates across the nation apply. The RRB recently announced ALP & Technician Recruitment for 26502 posts and Group D Recruitment against 62907 vacancies. Both the recruitment came as a disappointment to many aspirants as they were not eligible. After much agitation, Indian Railway Ministry directed Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) to relax the eligibility norms.
As per the RRB ALP and Group D relaxed eligibility, the upper age bar has been increased by 2 years. Earlier, for ALP-Technician the upper age bar for UR, OBC, SC, and ST category was 28, 31, 33, and 33 but now it is 30, 33, 35, and 35. Similarly, for Group D, the updated age limit is 3, 36, 38, and 38 for each category respectively.
For the Group D candidates, the minimum education qualification has also been modified. Initially, the candidates needed to be 10 pass + ITI or 10 pass + NCVT. However, now all those candidates can appear for the examination who have qualified class 10th examination and are not waiting for the results.
Other than this, RRB has also allowed candidates to upload signature in regional languages. Earlier, the candidates could only upload it in Hindi or English. Also, the Board has confirmed that it will be preparing question papers in 15 languages, which will be Hindi, English, Marathi, Urdu, Telugu, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Odia, Punjabi, and Tamil.
The Railway Recruitment Board is yet to announce the exam dates but so far all the changed are in favour of the candidates. The candidates can now prepare for the railway exams, without any stress. It is expected that CBT for ALP & Technician and Group D will be held in the month of April or May 2018. Stay with us to stay updated. If you have any questions or queries, comment below.
