⚙️ Selection Process: Stage-by-Stage Guide

The selection process for RRB NTPC involves multiple rigorous stages designed to test aptitude, speed, and fitness:

  1. CBT-1 (First Stage Computer Based Test): A 90-minute screening exam comprising 100 Objective MCQs across General Awareness (40 marks), Mathematics (30 marks), and General Intelligence & Reasoning (30 marks).
  2. CBT-2 (Second Stage Computer Based Test): Shortlisted candidates appear for CBT-2 (120 Questions in 90 Minutes: General Awareness 50, Math 35, Reasoning 35). CBT-2 marks form the primary basis of final merit.
  3. Skill Test / Aptitude Test:
    • Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT): Mandatory for Station Master & Traffic Assistant posts.
    • Typing Skill Test: Qualifying in nature for typist-specific roles (English: 30 WPM / Hindi: 25 WPM).
  4. Document Verification (DV): Verification of original certificates, educational qualifications, caste certificates, and identity cards.
  5. Medical Examination: Comprehensive physical & medical fitness test conducted at designated Railway Hospitals to ensure candidates meet post-specific medical standards (e.g., A-2 visual standards for Station Master).
