West Central Railway has issued an official recruitment notification for engagement of 561 trade apprentices under the Apprentice Act 1961 and Apprentice Rule 1961. The division of the railway is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill up the vacancies. The application process has already commenced on January 28, 2021. The last date of submission of online applications is February 27, 2021. Registered applicants are to be allowed to make application form corrections from February 28 to March 02, 2021. The vacancies are available under the Jabalpur Division of West Central Railway, in Madhya Pradesh. The vacancies are distributed across various trades. As per the notification, the vacancies are available for the trades of Diesel Mechanic, Electrician, Welder, Machinist, Fitter, Turner, Wireman, Mason, Carpenter, Painter, Gardener, Florist & Landscaping, Pump Operator cum Mechanic, Horticulture Assistant, Electronic Mechanic, ICT System Maintenance, COPA, Stenographer and others. In total, 278 unreserved vacancies while reservations exist for the categories of SC (73), ST (33), OBC (133) and EWS (44).
West Central Railway Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2021 For 561 Vacancy Detailed Notification
Candidates must have passed the Class 10th exam from a recognized Board with at least 50% marks. In addition, applicants must have passed ITI qualification in the particular trade that they intend to apply. Furthermore, applicants must be at least 15 years of age and not more than 24 years of age in order to apply. However, relaxations on the upper age limit are applicable for candidates belonging to the categories of SC/ST, OBC, PWD and Ex-Serviceman as per Government norms.
Before applying online at the official website of West Central Railway, eligible candidates have to register online at the NAPS portal. Registration at the NAPS portal can be done at the website apprenticeshipindia.org. Those who are already registered on the website apprenticeship.gov.in can update their profile at the NAPS portal.
It may be noted that registration at the NAPS portal is mandatory. Applicants have to pay a fee of Rs 170 (Application Fee Rs 100 and Portal Fee Rs 70). Candidates belonging to SC/ST, PWD categories and Female candidates are not required to pay the application fee. However, they have to pay the portal fee of Rs 70. Candidates who intend to make application form correction as per schedule have to pay a fee of Rs 50 and additional GST.
Interested candidates are advised to read the notification carefully before applying. A list of documents specified in the notification must be scanned and uploaded on the online application form as per instructions in the notification. The final merit list of shortlisted candidates is to be uploaded on the website wcr.indianrailway.gov.in and mponline.gov.in.
