RRB Group D Vacancy Increase has been the talk of the country in the past few hours. An image of a notification has been circulating the social media which suggests that the number of vacancies in RRB Group D (CEN 02/2018) are being increased from 62,907 to 1,13,546.
Before we dissect the authenticity behind the news, let us show exactly what the rumoured notification is. You can see the image below.
The notice says “RRBs have notified 62,907 vacancies for the posts in Level-1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix (Group-D). in terms of Para 1.10 of CEN under the head “General Instructions”, the above vacancies were provisional. These 62,907 vacancies are likely to be increased to about 1,13,546 vacancies. Post wise details of enhanced vacancies wil be advised on the official website of RRBs in due course. Is this news true?
There are high chances that this is a photoshopped image.
A few days ago, Railways had announced that the number of vacancies in ALP and Technician (CEN 01/2018) are being increased from 26,502 to 60,000. Its notice was as follows.
The notice says “RRBs have notified 26,502 vacancies for the posts of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and Technicians. In terms of Para 7 of CEN under the head “Important Instructions”, the above vacancies were provisional. These 26,502 vacancies are likely to be increased to about 60,000 vacancies. Post wise details of enhanced vacancies wil be advised on the official website of RRBs in due course. Candidates are requested to visit the official website of RRBs regularly for updates”.
As can be seen, there is an eerie similarity between the two notices. It is likely that someone has simply photoshopped the original notice of RRB ALP Vacancy Increase and changed some data to make it look like a RRB Group D Vacancy Increase.
