Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released the Rajasthan state and subordinate services combined competitive examination 2021 advertisement on its official website rpsc.gov.in. To fill a total of 988 administrative service posts in Rajasthan, the commission invites online applications from July 28, 2021.
Out of the total 998 vacancies, 363 posts will be filled in state services whereas, 625 posts to be filled in subordinate services. The eligible candidates can apply online at rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in. The last date to apply for RAS 2021 notification is August 27, 2021, up to 12:00 pm.
To be eligible for RAS 2021 notification, candidates must hold a graduation degree from a recognized university. The age of the applicant should be between 21 and 40 years for the gazetted posts. Whereas, for non-gazetted posts, the age limit will be 25 to 45 years, as of July 1, 2021.
To apply online for the RPSC RAS 2021 the eligible candidates will have to log in at the official website of the Commission i.e rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in. With a payment of the required application fee, they will have to submit their applications on or before the closing date. The application fee for the candidates belonging to the General, SBC, and OBC creamy layer is Rs 350. Candidates belonging to Rajasthan OBC non-creamy layer and EWS will have to pay Rs 250 as an application fee. For SC/ST, candidates whose family income is less than 2.50 lakh, and SC/ST candidates of the TSP region the application fee is Rs 150.

The selection of the candidates will be based on a 3-tier test i.e preliminary examination, mains exam, and interview. Upon receiving applications, the candidates will be shortlisted for a 200 marks preliminary test. The marks obtained in the Preliminary exam by the candidates, who are declared qualified for admission to the Main examination will not be counted for determining their final order of merit.
RAS 2021 prelims exam will carry a total of 150 MCQs based on General Knowledge and General Science. The examination will carry a maximum of 200 marks. All the candidates will have to answer the examination within 3 hours.
Number of candidates equal to 15 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the main examination. The RPSC RAS main exam will comprise 4 papers of General Studies and each paper in the RAS Mains will carry 200 marks. Candidates will be given 3 hours to write each question paper.
Candidates appearing in the main examination shall be required to obtain minimum of 10% marks in each paper and 15% marks in aggregate in the main examination to qualify for appearing in the personality and viva voce examination which carries 100 marks. A relaxation of 5% in such minimum marks shall be given to the candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
According to the RPSC statistics, last year the RAS Preliminary exam cut-off for the General category was 78.54, for General (TSP) – 70.00, for SC – 69.41, for ST- 76.26, for ST (TSP)- 58.47, and for OBC the cut-off was 94.98. Whereas, for the Mains exam, the cut off was 345.45 for General, 336.55 for General (TSP), 330.50 for SC, 340.75 for SC (TSP), 335.50 for ST, 285.45 for ST (TSP), for OBC and MBC the cut off was 364.00 and 360.50.
