North Central Railway (NCR) on behalf of Indian Railways, has released a recruitment notice for filling up the 92 vacancies in the newly created MEMU Car Shed/Kanpur, on a permanent basis. The applications are invited from the technically eligible working staff. The last date to submit the application form is September 17, 2021. Finally selected candidates will be eligible to draw a salary under grade pay Rs 1800 to 4600.
Recently a notice has been released by North Central Railway announcing the multiple vacancies. According to the notice, as many as 08 vacancies of SSE, 18 vacancies each for Sr. Technician and Technician-I, 9 vacancies each of Technician-II and Technician-III, and 30 vacancies of Helper are vacant in North Central Railway are announced.
Candidates should ensure that their application form reaches the office in the prescribed format through the proper channel latest by September 17, 2021. The staff can also share one advance copy of the option, with the same office.
To apply for the post of SSE, BE/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering is required. Whereas, to be eligible for Technician posts candidates should have ITI in Electrician/Fitter/Millwright /Welder trade. Only, technically eligible staff from different departments of NCR and other Zonal Railways is eligible to apply for these vacancies.
Further, the age of the eligible employee should not be more than 50 years, on the date of notification. Staff working in MEMU Car Shed/EMU Car Shed/DEMU Car Shed/ Electric Loco Shed/ DSL Loco Shed will be given preference over other Electrical/Mechanical staff. Cadre is going to be common for the Artisan staff as well as for the Supervisor.

According to the notice, optees’ seniority will be protected and similarly, they will be promoted on the basis of their regular date of entry to the grade after the cadre is closed. It has also been stated that the staff seniority in the cadre would be assigned on the basis of the length/duration of non-fortuitous service provided by the staff in their respective division, railway or unit.
About North Central Railway: Known as the workhorse of Indian Railways, North Central Railway is spread across three divisions viz Prayagraj, Jhansi, and Agra, It extends from Ghaziabad in the north to Mughalsarai in the east on New Delhi Howarah trunk route and from Palwal to Bina on New Delhi Mumbai/ Chennai corridor. It has spanned over parts of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh with about 3062 route km.
Apart from this, Indian Railways is conducting a mega recruitment drive to fill up the Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC) Graduate and Undergraduate posts under CEN 1/2019. The last phase of the first stage of this exam which is a computer-based test is scheduled to take place in the month of July. The exam scheduled to be held on July 23 and 24 is over successfully, whereas one exam is today and the last one is going to be held on July 31 for approximately 2.78 lakh candidates.
