MHT CET 2021

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra has successfully conducted another session of Maharashtra Common Entrance Test or MHT CET 2021 today. Starting from September 20, 2021, the series of examinations will continue till October 01, 2021. Through this entrance examination, candidates will be eligible to take admission in various engineering, pharmacy and agriculture courses. With the completion of today’s session of MHT CET 2021, let’s take a look at the paper analysis, overall difficulty and answer keys.

In the first shift, the Biology paper turned out to be easy. Most of the concepts were repeated but the questions were changed. According to most of the students, Physics and Chemistry papers were easy but some found the difficulty level of the Biology paper to be tough.

Starting with the Biology paper, the questions were asked from topics like the menstrual cycle, plant hormone, blood parasites, mortality, thyroid gland, human health & disease, anaerobic organism, canabis sativa, respiration and circulation, etc. Around 5 to 6 questions were based on correct and incorrect statements. Diagram-based questions, in addition to the names of scientists, were also asked.

In Chemistry, around 25 questions were completely theory-based. As per unofficial sources, 03 questions were asked from cell constant. The rest of the questions were from topics like the formation of compound, solid-state, reactions and solutions. As mentioned earlier, the overall difficulty level of the Chemistry paper was easy. Expert analysis of this paper shows that most of the questions from cell constant and solid-state are repeated.

Likewise, in Physics, around 22 to 23 questions were theory-based. Other than that, there were a number of repeated questions from the previous MHT CET 2021 sessions. However, around 10 to 15 questions were numerical sums. The overall standard of the Physics question paper was high and the difficulty level was moderate.

The official MHT CET 2021 answer keys are unavailable yet. However, the unofficial ones are likely to be available on YouTube. Simply type MHT CET 2021 answer key and go through the paper discussion/answer keys that are available. Based on these answer keys, one can predict a tentative score. For that, it is essential to have an idea of the marking scheme. MHT CET 2021 is a computer-based objective-type test in which every question has four options. For subjects like Physics and Chemistry, 01 mark allotted for each correct answer while Mathematics has 02 marks for each correct answer. However, for the PCB group, all three subjects have 01 mark for each question. Since there is no negative marking for PCM or PCB in MHT CET 2021, candidates can attempt as many questions as they want.
