State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State today, September 27, 2021, conducted another session of the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2021 across the state.
Authorities are yet to release the MHT CET 2021 answer keys for the first few sessions. However, many unofficial answer keys have been uploaded for a candidate’s reference on the internet. While these these answer keys may not be a 100% accurate, they can surely help candidates determine a tentative score in the exam.
MHT CET 2021 session conducted today was for PCB students. The first shift was held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm while the second shift was conducted from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Most students found the paper to be moderate in terms of overall level-of-difficulty. The botany section was difficult-to-moderate while the Zoology section was comparatively simpler. While Chemistry was moderate, Physics was difficult and time-consuming to solve. Surprisingly, some students also found Biology to be time-consuming due to influx of confusing theory-based questions.
The exam is going to be held in multiple sessions till October 01, 2021, through the computer-based format. Candidates who qualify this entrance exam will be eligible to apply for courses pertaining to Engineering, Pharmacy and Sciences. Those interested in the Engineering field have to attempt Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) combination. Those interested in Pharmaceutical field must attempt the Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) questions.
MHT CET 2021 Physics Analysis
As mentioned before, the Physics section was tough and time-consuming for most students. Rotational Dynamics was given the highest weightage with 4-5 questions asked in the exam. Chapters such as Magnetic Effect of Electric Current, Kinetic Theory of Gases and Stationery Waves also featured in the examination. Chapters like Rotational Motion always test the conceptual clarity and critical thinking ability of a candidate. Simply, mugging-up formulae will not help any candidate to crack this chapter. Hence, some students may have found questions pertaining to RM as tough nuts to crack.
MHT CET 2021 Chemistry Analysis
Chemistry like always, is never too easy to too difficult to solve. In today’s session, chapters such as Polymers & Biomolecules, Solid State, Solutions, Chemical Kinetics and Thermodynamics were given emphasis. Chapters from Inorganic Chemistry were also featured in the paper. In simple terms, only those candidates who thoroughly read and revised the Maharashtra Class 11 and 12 syllabus would have found this section easy to solve.
MHT CET 2021 Biology Analysis
In case of Biology, the MHT CET 2021 examination gave weightage to chapters like Biotechnology, Reproduction in Plants & Animals, Molecular basis of Inheritance and Respiration & Circulation. Around 10-15 questions were asked each from Plant & Animal Reproduction and Molecular Basis.
Referring to the Maharashtra Board Class 12 textbooks, both these chapters are extremely theoretical. This might be the main reason why students found Biology to be time-consuming. To score well in this section, students must have required a thorough knowledge of the points mentioned in the state board textbooks.
