After announcing massive 90,000 job openings, Railway Recruitment Board will be providing employment to nearly 20000 more aspirants across the country. The announced was made by Railway Minister, Piyush Goyal, through Twitter on March 29, 2018. In all, a total of 1,10,000 railway recruitment 2018 will be done to fill vacancies of Technician, Group D, ALP, RPF, RPSF, and L1 & L2.
Piyush Goyal further told that the world biggest recruitment gets even bigger with the addition of 20000 job openings. Notification for the recruitment of RPF and RPSF will be released in employment news of May 19-25, 2018. The tweet clearly mentioned that there will be 10000 vacancies for L1 & L2 positions for which recruitment will be done. On the other hand, nearly 9000 vacancies will be available for RPF and RPSF posts. The tweet of Piyush Goyal then redirects the readers to the official website of Indian Railways, indianrailways.gov.in, where candidates can get the complete information.
According to the reports of media, in Railway Protection Force (RPF) for the posts of constable and sub-inspectors, the hiring will be done for both men and women. To get selected for the posts, a candidate needs to appear for written examination, physical efficiency test, physical measurement test, document verification and final the medical examination.
In the previous notification released by RRB, it was notified that a total of 89,409 vacancies in Group D and C are available. According to that notification, there are 26,502 Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and Technician posts, and 62,907 posts of Group D. According to it the last date to apply for Group D and Group C is until March 31, 2018, till 11:59 pm. The number of applicants who have applied for the ongoing ALP and Group D recruitment has reached over 2 crores. This is the first time the applications for the jobs in railway has outnumbered any other recruitment in the world.
For RRB Recruitment 2018 of Group D posts, the pay scale is Rs. 18000 which is Level 1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix+ Allowances; and for Railway Recruitment 2018 for ALP and Technician posts the pay scale is Level 2 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix with the initial salary of Rs. 19900 + Allowances.
To apply for the Group D posts candidates had to visit the official website, indianrailways.gov.in, and then select the RRB zone. Thereafter, the candidates had to click on ‘Apply Online for RRB’ link and fill the application form that appears on the screen. To complete the process an applicant also needs to upload a scanned copy of image and signature.
In order to apply for Group C posts, an applicant had to visit the official website of Indian Railways and by clicking the link CEN01/2018, read all the instructions and then provide all the details required to complete the registration form. Finally, upload the scanned documents and hit the Submit button. Now candidates can check status of form as per its availability.
