LBS Centre for Science & Technology has extended the registration deadline for the Kerala State Eligibility Test (SET) 2022 to November 03, 2021. Interested and eligible candidates can fill and submit the application form on lbscentre.kerala.gov.in. They will also get an extra two days’ time i.e., up to November 05, 2021, to pay the online application fee. Hence, those who are yet to complete the registration formalities must focus first on filling the form and later, worry about paying the fee. With this revised registration schedule, candidates have ample time to apply before time runs out.
Kerala SET 2022 registration began on October 08, 2021, and was recently extended to November 03, 2021, providing additional time for candidates to register for the exam. However, candidates must also keep the timings in mind. Both the registration and payment deadlines are only applicable till 5:00 pm on respective days beyond which, no registration requests will be accepted. Hence, candidates are advised to make a note of these deadlines and complete the formalities, accordingly.
After concluding the Kerala SET 2022 registration process, authorities will be releasing the hall tickets on December 20, 2021, from 5:00 pm onward. They will be issued on the official portal for all those who successfully registered for the eligibility test. The exam is scheduled to be held on January 09, 2022, giving candidates around 20 days to download and take a printout of their admit cards.
The Kerala SET 2022 examination will be conducted in the form of two papers – Paper I and Paper II. While Paper I will be common to all, Paper II will be based on the subject-expertise which each candidate possesses. The first paper will be divided into two parts – Part A covering General Knowledge and Part B covering Aptitude in Teaching.
The second paper will cover one of the 31 subjects which a candidate has opted for during the application process. These subjects include Arabic, Botany, Chemistry, Commerce, French, Geography, English, etc. The entire exam will be for a duration of 4 hours i.e., 2 hours for each paper.
Kerala SET 2022 Paper I will cover a total of 120 questions i.e., 60 questions from Part A and the remaining 60 from Part B. For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded 1 mark. Paper II will also cover the same number of questions for the same weightage. However, in the case of Mathematics and Statistics, the paper shall cover 8 questions for 1.5 marks each. Much to the delight of candidates, both incorrect and unanswered questions will be awarded 0 marks. So, there’s no negative marking in the eligibility test.
During the exam, candidates will have to find the right option and mark the same in the OMR sheet. So, the Kerala SET 2022 examination will be conducted through the offline mode, in the OMR-based format with objective-type questions. Candidates are advised to prepare for the exam as per the specified marking scheme and paper pattern.
