Individuals aspiring to pursue a career in the teaching field have yet another opportunity to do so, given by the Department of Secondary Education (DSE) Assam. The department has today, January 12, 2022, released the official TGT PGT Recruitment 2022 notification on the official website madyamik.assam.gov.in. The notification informs about the teacher recruitment drive fulfilling a total of 556 vacancies. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for this recruitment drive through the online mode from January 15, 2022, onwards.
The Assam Teaching Recruitment 2022 primarily focuses on two posts – Trained Graduate Teacher(TGT) and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT). So, a total of 556 vacancies have been divided under these two posts. In fact, the post of PGT comprises 169 vacancies whereas TGT covers 387 vacancies. The online application process shall commence from January 15, 2022. Candidates will get time up to January 31, 2022, to complete the registration process.
Before applying, however, candidates need to be aware of the several aspects of the Assam Teaching 2022 Recruitment drive. These aspects include pay-scale, eligibility criteria, educational qualifications, etc.
Assam Teaching Recruitment 2022 Pay-Scale
As per the official notification, TGT vacancies will be paid within the range of Rs.14,000 to Rs.60,500 including grade pay of Rs. 8,700 per month. Additionally, candidates will be given allowances approved by the government. Similarly, PGT vacancies will be paid within the range of Rs. 22,000 to Rs. 97,000 including grade pay of Rs. 11,800 per month. Additionally, candidates will be given allowances approved by the government.
Assam Teaching Recruitment 2022 Educational Requirements
While applying for the Assam Teaching Recruitment Drive 2022, candidates applying for the PGT vacancies must have completed post-graduate education in the concerned subject with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent. This must be accompanied by a B.Ed. from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) from a recognized institution.
The applicant needs to also appear for and pass the Higher Secondary Teachers’ Eligibility Test in the corresponding cadre, conducted by the state government. Here again, a minimum score of 60% marks is required.
On the other hand, candidates applying for the TGT posts need to be a graduate or postgraduate in the concerned subject along with a B.Ed. degree from a recognized University.
