West Bengal College Service Commission (WBCSC) has released the protocols for the WB SET 2022 examination. The WB SET (State Eligibility Test) is expected to be held at around 189 centres in 68 sub-divisions across the state.
Amidst the rapid increase in the COVID-19 cases in the state, the commission has released a set of SOPs for the examination that is going to be held soon. These guidelines are been released for those candidates who show any kind of COVID symptoms. Other than this, the notice also talks about the basic module the centre staff has to follow while attending the exam.
Candidates can check out the basic SOPs ascertained to the WB SET examination in the space below:
- Initially, the staff will check the candidate’s temperature using the temperature gun and those who show body temperature more or have covid symptoms will be shifted to isolation room
- The invigilators are ordered to wear PPE kits and equipments every time they are in the examinaton room for their own safety
- The staffs have to seperately pack and keep the OMR sheets collected from the isolation room
Considering the worsening situation of the pandemic in the state, a lot of teachers have sought to cancel the examination in the state. They put forth the example of the KVPY exam scheduled for January 09, 2022, which was cancelled for the safety of the test takers. However, the commission is keen to conduct the examination on the mentioned date and for that, it has introduced a lot of measures earlier.
One of such measures taken up by the commission is allowing students to appear for the examination at their sub-division. It has also increased the number of centres up by 2.5 times to avoid unnecessary crowing at the exam centre. Another thing considered by the commission is that only one student will be eligible to write the exam on the bench citing social distancing.
