Union Public Service Commission has released the Combined Medical Services Notification today on the website upsc.gov.in. The CMS 2021 exam is scheduled to be held on November 27, 2021, and eligible candidates are invited to apply before the last date. The last date for CMS 2021 Application Form is July 27, 2021.
UPSC conducts the CMS exam to fill up vacancies in various Services/Ministries/Departments of the Indian Government. As per the latest notification, 838 vacancies are to be filled up through the Combined Medical Services 2021 exam. These vacancies are Junior Scale Posts in Health Services, Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in Railways and GDMO in divisions of the Delhi Municipal Council.
Eligible candidates are invited to apply for the CMS 2021 exam on the official website upsconline.nic.in. The Commission has detailed the complete eligibility criteria in the latest notification. Accordingly, candidates who have not attained the age of 32 years as of August 01, 2021, are eligible. For Junior Scale Posts, the age of the candidates must be less than 35 years as of the cut-off date. Relaxations are available for candidates belonging to reserved categories. All applicants must have passed the written and practical parts of the MBBS exam.
Applications for the CMS 2021 exam can be submitted online on the official website of the Commission. There are two parts of the online application process i.e., registration and application form. Candidates have to register at first and then log in with the Registration ID and Date of Birth to fill up the application form online.
After visiting the website upsconline.nic.in, candidates have to click on Online Application For Various Examinations of UPSC following which, one can view the clickable links for CMS 2021 Registration (Part I) and CMS 2021 Application Form (Part II). Candidates must click on the Registration link and fill up the details correctly to generate the Registration ID. Subsequently, one must log in with the ID and DOB (as entered in the registration form) to access the CMS application form 2021.
CMS 2021 application form must be filled up correctly by entering relevant details of educational qualification, address of communication etc. Candidates are also required to upload scanned images of the latest passport-sized photograph and signature on the CMS Application Form. Once done, candidates can proceed to make the payment of the application fee online. The application fee amount is Rs 200 for all candidates except the Female, SC/ST and PWBD categories. Candidates can choose to make the fee payment offline at any SBI branch or online using a Debit/Credit card or Internet Banking.
Once the application process is over, UPSC will allow a short form withdrawal time to registered candidates. Those who do not want to proceed to take the exam can withdraw their applications during this window. As per the latest notice, the applications can be withdrawn from August 03 to 09, 2021 till 06.00 PM. Interested candidates are advised to read the official notification available on upsc.gov.in for the complete details of the exam including syllabus, exam pattern, admit card release etc.
