This is the first time ever that CBSE is declaring the UGC NET 2018 Result in the same month of conduction of the examination.
This year CBSE had introduced some changes in University Grants Commission’s National Eligibility Test (UGC NET). The maximum age for the candidates applying for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) has been revised to 30 years which was earlier 28 years. The subject wise cutoff is also available for all the 84 subjects now along with the result.
The reason that the CBSE has declared the UGC NET 2018 Result early this year is the formation of National Testing Agency which is all set to take the responsibility of UGC NET 2018 December exam. This is the last time that CBSE is releasing the UGC NET result. From this point onwards NTA will be responsible for conducting UGC NET. In addition to that, UGC NET 2019 December will be the first exam that NTA will conduct.
The newly formed body – NTA has already come up with the dates of UGC NET 2018 December and other exams that it will be conducted from 2019 (like JEE Main, NEET, GPAT, CMAT). The application forms of UGC NET 2018 December exam will be available from September 01 to 20, 2018. The examination will be conducted on 02, 08, 09, 15, & 16 Dec 2018 (02 shift per day).
