The Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh has recently launched the Student Police Cadet (SPC) in Gurugram Haryana. This is the national level programme for educating the young minds through student-police interaction. The aim of the programme is to inculcate moral values, ethics, crime awareness which they are not able to know from the academic curriculum. It is a small step towards building the character of students for a progressive society.

The programme by Government will help to bridge the gap between root learning and social responsibility. When the students will learn about tolerance, patience, empathy etc, then they emerge out to be a valuable citizen of a country in the future. The programme will bring all round development in the student’s personality. It will help fight social evils that we are facing today like alcohol abuse, drugs, vandalism, rapes, disrespect for elders etc.
