Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board is going to release the TNUSRB SI 2022 notification tomorrow. As per an update available on the website, the official notification along with the application form of the Sub-Inspector shall be released on the official website, tnusrb.tn.gov.in. Although, no additional details such as important dates have been provided yet. #1. Eligibility Criteria
The prescribed age limit for the post of Sub Inspector is between 20 to 30 years of age. Apart from this, the candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any of the disciplines with pass marks from a university recognized by UGC or the Government.
#2. Communal Reservation
The board has notified that the candidates who belong to the special category are eligible to get reservations as per the communal categories guidelines. As per that 31% of the reservation is available for open categories whereas 26.5% and 3.5% of reservations are for the Backward class and backward class (Muslim) category respectively. After this, 20% reservation is for the most backward class / denotified communities and 15% reservation for scheduled caste. The remaining reservation for 3% is for scheduled caste (Arunthathiyar) and 1% is for the scheduled tribe.

#3. Exam Pattern
The selection process of SI, TNUSRB includes a Tamil language paper test, Mains examination followed by Physical Measurement test and Endurance Test. Go through the space below to get the highlights of the selection process of Sub Inspector, TNUSRB:
- Tamil Langauge Paper: Questions based onTamil language as taught upto 10th standard of the Tamil Nadu State Board.
- TNUSRB SI Mains Paper: General Knowledge (General Science, History, Geography, Economics, Polity, General Knowledge and Current Affairs);
Psychology Test (Logical Analysis, Mental Ability, Communication Skills, Information Handling Ability and Numerical Analysis). - Physical Measurement Test: The minimum height of the male candidate should be 170 cm and for the female, it is 159 cms. The board has notified the chest measurement for male candidates i.e. 81 cm and an expansion allowed up to 5 cm.
#4. Special Marks
The board is subjected to receive 5 marks as special marks during the viva voice round. Out of the 5 marks, 2 marks shall be assigned to the NCC, 1 mark for the National Service Scheme and the remaining 2 makes for the Sports and Games in which the candidate has participated in the past.
#5. Departmental Candidates
The candidates who are already working in the department are subjected to receive a lot of concession in the recruitment process. For instance, the departmental candidates are exempted from appearing in the physical efficiency test. Other than this, they are not eligible to get special marks against the NCC, or sports and games round.
