Mother Teresa Women’s University has released TNSET 2018 Hall Ticket for candidates who opted for English. Those who have opted for other subjects can download hall ticket from 5 PM today, February 26. The official website for hall ticket download of TNSET 2018 is tnsetexam2018mtwu.in.

All the candidates appearing for TNSET 2018 on March 4, have been looking forward to getting their admit cards. There was initially some confusion around Feb 9, when the official website launched but candidates were unsure of how to get admit card.

Now finally, admit card / hall ticket availability has been clarified. The official website says:

TNSET 2018 Hall Ticket

“Welcome to TNSET-2018

This site will function in the browser chrome 55+ version and, opera 42+ version.

Site will not perform correctly in lower of the above-mentioned browsers or any other browser.

Please ensure to login using correct browser.

Candidates who have opted the subject namely english can download the hallticket from 25-02-2018 02:00 pm onwards.

Candidates opted for other subject can download hallticket from 26-02-2018 5 pm onwards.”

Candidates who have opted for Subject Code 07 English can now download TNSET 2018 Hall Ticket from tnsetexam2018mtwu.in. It was released on February 25, at 2 PM.

Others, including subjects of chemical sciences, commerce, computer science & application, economics, education, electronics, geography, hindi, history, home science, journalims and mass communciation, law, sanskrit, life sciences, management, mathemetical science, tamil, telugu, physical sciences, political sciences, psychology, social work, sociology, earth sciences, library & information science – will get admit card from 5 PM on February 26.

Candidates may note that the site is functioning only in Chrome 55+, Opera 42+ versions. If you use any other browser or any other version then the site will not open.

Therefore candidates are also advised to open the hall ticket page in computer only and not mobile.

However, it has been reported that candidates are facing technical trouble at the website tnsetexam2018mtwu.in – the website is either taking too long to load, or is not opening at all.

Candidates are informed that this is probably just a temporary issue. There are many applicants of Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test (TNSET 2018). Since all of them have just got to know of hall tickets, the traffic at tnsetexam2018mtwu.in is high and probably that is what is causing it to slow down.

If you were successful in downloading hall ticket, then check your exam centre. It is advisable to visit the centre once at least before March 4. This will help in gauging the distance of your centre from your home and you can plan at what time to leave for exam on the day of exam, so as to reach centre on time.

TNSET 2018 will be held on March 4. Entry to exam hall will start at 9:00 AM for Paper I. Candidates will get test booklets by 9:15 AM. Then the exam will take place from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

For Paper II, entry to exam hall will start at 10:45 AM. Exam will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM. It is a two hour exam whereas the paper 1 is a one hour exam.

Paper I will have 50 multiple choice questions of 2 marks each. These questions will be of general nature to test teaching aptitude/ research aptitude. Here the questions will be on reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking, general awareness.

Paper II will have 100 multiple choice questions of 2 marks each. These will be subject specific questions.

The TNSET 2018 is being held as per UGC guidelines. State eligibility test determines the eligibility of a candidate for Assistant Professor.

In India, the UGC NET is held on a national level to determine eligibility for Assistant Professor and JRF, or only eligibility for Assistant Professor. Those who appear in state eligibility test become eligible for Assistant Professor of that state.

This year, UGC NET 2018 will be held on July 8. Candidates appearing in TNSET 2018 can also apply for UGC NET (CBSE UGC NET July 2018). Therefore they may note that the applications for the same are starting on March 5. UGC NET 2018 application form can be filled online between March 5 and April 5.
