Railway Recruitment Cell, Hubli has published the latest notification for engagement of 1004 apprentices in different divisions of South Western Railway. The RRC is inviting applications from eligible and intending candidates from December 10, 2020. The last date to apply online is January 09, 2021, till midnight. Eligible applicants are to be selected for engagement under the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961. The selection is to be done on merit basis as per the qualifications of the candidate for a period of one year during which candidates will receive monthly stipend as per norms of the RRC.
In the detailed notification available at rrchubli.in, the complete vacancy details are indicated. There are 287 vacancies for Fitter, Welder, Electrician. RAC Mechanic and PASAA trades in Hubballi Division of SW Railway. In Carriage Repair Workshop, Hubballi 217 vacancies are available for the trades of Fitter, Welder, Machinist, Turner, Electrician, Carpenter, Painter and PASAA. Likewise, in the Bengaluru division, 280 vacancies are available for the trades of Fitter, Electrician, Electrician General, PASAA and Welder. In addition, 177 vacancies are available in Mysuru division and 43 vacancies are available in the Central Workshop, Mysuru.

Candidates who are not less than 15 years old and not more than 24 years old as on the last date of applications can apply for this engagement of Apprentices. However, relaxations on the upper age limit can be availed by candidates belonging to special reserved categories as per government norms in vogue. Applicants must also have passed the Class 10 exam (under 10+2) pattern with 50% marks in aggregate. In addition, all applicants are required to have a relevant ITI Trade Certificate awarded by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or any State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT). Candidates having higher qualifications such as Diploma and Graduate Engineering degree holders are nor eligible for this engagement.
Candidates are to be selected purely on the basis of merit determined in terms of the percentage of marks obtained in Class 10 with minimum 50% and marks obtained in ITI in the particular trade in which the Apprenticeship is to be done. If two or more candidates secure the same marks, then the one older in age is to be preferred for recruitment. Final merit lists are to be published at the official website and candidates who are shortlisted will be appointed to the respective posts after verification of documents and subject to the passing of Medical Examination.
Applications for this recruitment can only be submitted on the online website of RRC Hubli i.e. rrc.hubli.in. Candidates have to upload the scanned copies of recent passport-sized photograph and signature on the online application form.
