Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has finally announced the date for RRB NTPC (CEN 01/2019) first stage computer based test result, as well as date for second stage exam. RRB NTPC CBT 1 result will be declared by January 15, 2022. Consequently, the CBT 2 exam will be held from February 14-18, 2022. The announcement is official. Notification for the same has been published on the official websites of different RRBs such as Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Bilaspur, Chandigarh, Chennai, Gorakhpur, Guwahati, Jammu, Kolkata, Malda, Mumbai, Muzaffarpur, Patna, Ranchi, Secunderabad, Siliguri, Trivendrum.
The notice reads:
- The 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-1)was held in 7 phases from December 28, 2020 to July 31, 2021.
- The result of 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-1) is currently under process and the results are tentatively scheduled to be published in the official websites of RRBs by January 15, 2022.
- The 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-2) exam for the candidates who get shortlisted in CBT-1 is tentatively scheduled to be held from February 14-18, 2022, subject to the prevailing conditions and Government guidelines issued from time to time in view of handling of the Covid-19 pandemic.
- Candidates are advised to refer only to the official websites of RRBs for latest updates on the recruitment process. Please do not get misled by unauthorized sources.
RRB NTPC Result 2021 Date for CBT 1 – Will result be out on 15 Jan, or before that?
As per the notice, the date of RRB NTPC result is ‘by January 15, 2022‘. Which means that it can be declared on any date before that. Technically this means that result can be announced in December or January, however there are higher chances of the result being declared in January. This is because the railways had make it expressedly clear before that the results are still in the process of compilation.
The number of candidates who will be shortlisted for 2nd stage CBT will be 20 times the number of vacancies. For RRB Non Technical Popular Categories (CEN 01/2019), there are 35,208 vacancies. Therefore 7,04,160 candidates will be shortlisted for 2nd stage. Exactly 1,26,30,885 candidates had applied for the exam. Thus only 5.57% candidates will clear the first round.
RRB NTPC CBT 2 Syllabus
The second stage computer based test will be held from February 14 to 18, 2022.
This exam will be of 90 minutes duration. There will be three sections namely – General Awareness (with 50 questions), Mathematics (with 35 questions), and General Intelligence and Reasoning (with 35 questions). Overall there will be 120 questions, of 1 mark each. There will be negative marking of 1/3 for every incorrect answer.
