Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has finally announced NTPC 7th Phase exam dates. The exam for the remaining 2.78 lakh candidates will be held on July 23, 24, 26, and 31, 2021. E-Call letters of the candidates will be facilitated from July 19, 2021, onwards. This will be the last phase for RRB NTPC (CEN 01/2019) CBT 1. Once it is over, RRB will release the answer key and result.
The official notice for the RRB NTPC 7th phase exam dates has been uploaded on the official website of 21 RRBs. The notice has been issued hours after aspirants of social media demanded Indian Railways to release details for the pending RRB exams. Apart from stating the exam dates, the notice says, “…LINK for viewing the Exam City & Date and downloading of Free Travelling Authority for SC/ST candidates will be made available on all RRB websites ten days before the exam.“. Hence, candidates can expect to check their city and date by July 13, 2021.
Similarly, for the release of RRB NTPC admit card the notice says, “Downloading of E-Call letters will start 4 days prior to the exam date mentioned in Exam City and date intimation link“. Even for the previous phases of NTPC, the admit cards were released 4 days before the exam date. This means that candidates can download it from July 19, 2021, onwards. It can be downloaded online, from the regional website of RRB. To do so, candidates will need their registration number and date of birth.
Apart from this, RRB has also set up a help desk for the candidates. Through these, candidates can get all their doubts cleared.
Since RRB is holding NTPC 7th phase amid pandemic 2nd and 3rd wave, the railway board has requested aspirants to strictly follow COVID guidelines. The guidelines shall be issued via the call letter / admit card. Apart from this, while taking the exam, all the candidates will have to wear a mask. The mask is to be worn all the time from entering the gate to taking the exam. Only while capturing the photo, candidates are allowed to remove it.
A list of banned items has also been provided by the recruitment board. This includes items like mobile phone, pager, watched, Bluetooth, calculators, metallic wears, bangles, belts, bracelets, etc.

RRB started conducting NTPC exams from December 28, 2020. The phase 2 and 3 of the exam was held in January 2021, and phase 4, 5, 6, were held in February, March, and April 2021, respectively. RRB was not able to conduct NTPC 7th phase earlier because of the pandemic and restrictions in the states. Now that the situation is a bit better, the exam is being resumed.
The CBT 1 exam of RRB NTPC will be of 90 minutes duration. Candidates belonging to PwD category will get 120 minutes. The number of questions will be 100 in the first stage CBT. The questions are going to be the objective type which will have four alternatives in each question. Candidates will get 01 marks for every correct answer. For every incorrect answer, the 1/3rd mark will be deducted from the total score.
The questions will be pertaining to the subjects that are General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. There will be 40 MCQs from the General Awareness and 30 questions each from Mathematics and General Intelligence and Reasoning.
