After much anticipation, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is expected to release the Group D Recruitment 2021 Admit Cards soon. While the date is not fixed, many reports have presumed that admit cards will release in the next few days. Even the exam date has not been ascertained by authorities. However, students can expect the exam to be conducted in a phase-wise manner in December 2021. Going by this tentative schedule, candidates have less than two months to prepare for the exam. To boost their preparation, here are the most important topics for the recruitment exam along with a chapter-wise weightage analysis.
The RRB Group D 2021 examination covers topics and concepts from four subjects, namely General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning and General Science.
Important Topics of Mathematics
Time & Distance: 2-3 questions expected
BODMAS: 2-3 questions expected
Time & Work: 3-4 questions expected
Miscellaneous: 2-3 questions expected
Apart from this, topics such as number system, fractions & decimals, mensuration, LCM & HCF, simple & compound interest, age calculations, etc will be covered in the recruitment exam as well.
Topics & Weightage from General Awareness
Current Affairs: 8-9 questions expected in the paper
Sports: Approximately 2-3 questions in the paper
Miscellaneous: 4-5 questions expected in the question paper
Apart from this, coding & decoding, syllogism, relationships, data interpretation & sufficiency, similarities & differences and classification will also be featured in the RRB Group D 2021 examination.
Topics to Prioritize in Reasoning & General Intelligence & Reasoning
Alphabetical and Number Series: This topic may cover 3-4 questions expected
Analytical Reasoning: 3 to 4 questions expected in the examination
Classification: 2-3 questions are expected in the exam
Statement -Argument & Assumptions: 4-5 questions in the recruitment exam
Along with these topics, concepts like analytical reasoning, directions, venn diagram, syllogism may be asked in the examination.
Weightage in General Science Section
In this section, questions will be asked from all three subjects, namely Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Here is a subject-wise weightage for Group D Recruitment 2021 exam –
Physics: Around 7-8 questions are expected in the exam
Chemistry: Approximately 9-10 questions may be asked in the exam
Biology: 6-7 questions may be featured in the recruitment test
RRB Group D 2021 Exam Pattern
Apart from knowing the syllabus and chapter-wise weightage, candidates must also be aware of the paper pattern followed in the recruitment exam. The question paper will comprise 100 questions for a maximum of 100 marks. As mentioned before, the paper will be divided into four subjects with each section comprising of 25 questions. So, for every right answer, candidates will be awarded 1 mark while 1/3 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. Candidates will be given a duration of 90 minutes to attempt the entire paper.
