Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) is all set to conduct the Rajasthan Administrative Services (RAS) 2021 prelims exam today. The state level civil services exams will be held in a single shift.
More than 6 lakh candidates will appear for the exam. Strict security measures have been set in place for the big exam. So much so that district collectors, SPs of all districts will make sure security is top notch at all centers.
Exam Timings
The exam timings are 10 am to 1 pm. However, the commission has made it mandatory for candidates to report to the exam center at least 1 hour before the start of the exam. Hence, all candidates must reach the center latest by 9 am.
What to take to exam center?
RPSC has stated in the RAS admit card that candidates must carry the following on the exam day
- Admit Card
- 2.5 cm x 2.5 cm color photo
- Transparent blue ball point pen
- Photo ID proof
RAS 2021 Exam Dress Code
Male candidates can wear half sleeve short or t-shirt, kurta, pant, pajama, slippers.
Female candidates can wear salwar suit, saree, half sleeve kurta or blouse, slippers. They can also wear simple hair rubber band.
There will be frisking at the exam centers. Candidates must cooperate with the officials on the same.
Female candidates are also requested by RPSC to not wear any jewelry except simple lakh or kaanch chudi. No one should be wearing watch, socks, sunglasses, belt, handbag, hair pin, tabeez, cap, hat, scarf, stole, shawl, muffler.
Special travel
Candidates can avail free bus service to reach the exam centers. This special facility has been set up to ensure aspirants can easily reach exam center on time.
Will there be internet shutdown?
On the day of REET exam, there was internet shutdown in Rajasthan. Though despite that, cases of cheating were reported. For RPSC RAS 2021 exam, it is not yet announced whether there will be an internet shutdown. Though there is a possibility that it might happen. Candidates who are going to rely on google maps to reach their exam centers can save the location and map details in case they do not get internet facility in the morning.
RPSC RAS 2021 exam is being held to fill 988 vacancies. For this exam, there are 2,045 exam centers. 259 Exam centers are in Jaipur – the highest, and 17 in Jaisalmer – the lowest. Ajmer has 141 exam centers. Control rooms have also been set up in district headquarters.
