Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) 2021 test took place on September 26, 2021. It was conducted by the Board of Secondary Examination, Rajasthan in two shifts. With the completion of the examination, various coaching institutes and subject experts had released the answer keys for REET 2021. The examination is held for two levels – 1 and 2. Level 1 is for those candidates who intend to teach classes 1 to 5. Similarly, Level 2 is for the ones who want to teach classes 6 to 8.
After the answer keys were released by various sources, it was found that there were a number of doubtful questions. According to experts, the number of doubtful questions in Level 1 was more in comparison to Level 2. The questions were doubtful in the sense that various coaching institutes had different answers regarding them.
From Level 1, the first question that has created doubt is the Appropriate teaching-learning tool that will explain the concept of multiplication of two decimal numbers such as 0.4×0.2=0.8. The correct answer to this question, according to experts, would be ‘graph paper’. However, some coaching centres claim that the answer would be ‘dienes blocks’.
Another question is ‘which of the following is not a process related to learning during childhood?’ The options allotted to these questions are past experience, reflection, imagination and argument. The reason why this question has created doubt is that out of the four options, either reflection, imagination or argument would be the correct answer.
Similarly, from the Hindi section, a question that has created doubts is how many manushya aang are there in the Hindi language. Experts claim that this question has been misprinted as the term manushya aang does not fit correctly for this question. Now, experts are assured that this question will be applicable for bonus marks. Nonetheless, candidates must raise objections after the publication of the official answer key.
