Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is inviting online applications for 241 posts of Security Guards. This recruitment is available for the eligible ex-servicemen candidates. The online applications for RBI Security Guards Recruitment 2021 start today (January 22, 2021). Eligible and intending applicants can apply before the last date that is February 12, 2021. Also, aspirants can download the official notification of the recruitment from the official website i.e rbi.org.in.
The post of RBI Security Guard is available under various offices of the bank. Announced vacancies are available under the Ahmedabad (07), Bengaluru (12), Bhopal (10), Bhubaneshwar (08), Chandigarh (02), Chennai (22), Guwahati (11), Hyderabad (03), Jaipur (10), Jammu (04), Kanpur (05), Kolkata (15), Lucknow (05), Mumbai (84), Nagpur (12), New Delhi (17), Patna (11) and Thiruvananthapuram (03).
RBI Security Guards Recruitment 2021 Detailed Notification
Selection for the advertised posts will be done through the competitive Test. As per the notice, the examination is tentatively scheduled in the month of February/ March 2021. The national level competitive examination is conducted as the CBT Test for a duration of 80 minutes. Questions will be asked from three sections namely Test of Reasoning, General English and Numerical Ability. There will be 100 questions each carrying 01 marks.
It is crucial for the ex-servicemen candidates to ensure that they possess the minimum educational qualification. They should have passed 10th standard from the recognized State Education Board or equivalent. Those candidates who have cleared the qualifying examination from outside the advertised recruitment zones before or after leaving the military services are also eligible. Moreover, candidates should be a resident of the /state UT of the Recruitment Officer for which they are applying for.
Furthermore, candidates should be an undergraduate as on January 01, 2021. However, graduates and candidates with higher qualification are not eligible for recruitment. Ex-servicemen with matriculation and 15 years of experience (which is considered as “graduates”) are also eligible.
Candidates also have to make sure that they fulfil the age limit criteria. As per the notification, the normal age limit for RBI recruitment of 25 years. However, it is relaxable for the reserved category candidates. For the OBC category, the normal age limit is 28 years, 30 years for SC/ ST category candidates. The upper age limit for recruitment is 45 years (uniform for all categories).
The online application link is available on the official website rbi.org.in. Aspirants can also get the direct link through the RBI Security Guard notification. They have to first register themselves online and then submit the online application form. The applicants who successfully submit the registration form will receive a unique registration ID. Also, they have to make a payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs. 50/-. Staff candidates are exempted from the fee submission.
