PSTET admit card 2018 became available for download on February 20. The Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test is scheduled to be held on February 25. A major change in exam is that test duration will be 2.5 hours; previously the test was a 1.5 hours duration exam.

This is how to download PSTET hall ticket 2018: Visit official website https://educationrecruitmentboard.com/pstet2017/ and login using registration number, password. It is a simple single step process.

Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2018 is a state level teacher eligibility test. It is conducted to identify and grant eligibility to teaching aspirants to become teachers upto class eight. There are two separate papers, I and II. Candidates appearing in the final year of qualifying exam (D.El.Ed. / ETT / B.Ed / or equivalent exam mentioned in NCTE guidelines) can appear in this exam.

PSTET 2018

Many candidates who completed Education courses dream of pursuing teaching profession. With this being mandatory that one should qualify teacher eligibility, it has become tougher for one to become a teacher. At the same time TET qualification being mandatory has set certain standards in teaching profession, which will ensure that better teaching practices are implemented everywhere.

As per provisions of sub-section (1) of Section 23 of RTE Act, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) had laid down minimum qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in classes I to VIII. It had been inter alia provided that one of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools is that he/she should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by appropriate Government in accordance with guidelines framed by NCTE.

While PSTET 2018 is being reported, it is equally important to inform all stakeholders that very soon CTET 2018 will also be conducted. If reports are to be believed, then Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2018 will be held in May. Therefore CBSE is looked forward to release notification for Central Teacher Eligibility Test in February or March.
