Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has declared UCEED 2018 Result. The entrance examination for B.Des admission was conducted on January 20 and today, on February 21, the result has been announced. In all 11567 candidates appeared for the exam and of these 6219 qualified.
The Institute disclosed the result on the official website of the exam, http://www.uceed.iitb.ac.in. To check the performance in the exam, the candidates need to access the result link and enter e-mail id and password to login.
From the result login, the candidates can know their score and qualifying marks in the exam.
Meet the toppers of UCEED 2018
This year, IIT Bombay has also announced the toppers.
The first position has been grabbed by Saumya Divya Oberoi. She hails from Pune and has secured 244 marks.
Second and third in the race are Atul Tripathi and Krishna Ramesh Nair with 230 and 223. Atul is from Ghaziabad and Krishna from Thiruvananthapuram. Congratulations to all the successful candidates!

The qualified candidates can also download their scorecard now. The scorecard is also available on the website and to get it, registration number and password is to be entered. It basically contains the rank secured by the candidates, along with the score details.
The UCEED 2018 scorecard will not be sent through the post or any other medium but it is an important document, which the candidates will need during B.Des counselling and final admission.
Colleges where admission is offered through UCEED Results
The admission in the institutes will be granted on the basis of the score and rank but candidates first need to register for B.Des Admission. The participating institute are IIT Guwahati, IIITDM, and IIT Bombay. However, CIT Kokrajhar, AKTU, LPU, UPES, VIT, WUB, CU Chandigarh, and IIITD also share the result. This year, Srishti School of Art Design and Technology, Bengaluru, and IIT Delhi will also consider the result of UCEED 2018 but will not be a part of the joint counselling.
Admission Counselling After Declaration Of UCEED Results
The counselling for the result sharing institute will be done individually. However, candidates seeking admission in the participating institutes need to fill a common application form. The B.Des Admission 2018 application form will be available through common IIT-B application portal, from June 08 to 23, 2018.
In the application form, the candidates will have to enter personal details and pay the application fee. The amount of application fee will be Rs. 1000, for candidates belonging to all the categories. Apart from this, the candidates will also have to upload supporting documents with the form, which will be Signature, Photograph, Scorecard, Class 12th mark sheet, Caste Certificat (if applicable).
It is important to note that the before filling the application form the candidates must ensure the eligibility. The criteria of eligibility other than securing a rank in UCEED is that the candidates should have been born on or after October 01, 1993. Also, the candidate should have appeared for the qualifying examination in the year 2017 or 2018.
Once the application process ends, the seats will be allocated to the candidates. The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of UCEED rank, category and choice of institutes stated by the candidates. In total, there will be three rounds of allotment and these will be conducted on July 02, July 09, and July 14, 2018.
Candidates who will accept the seat in the allotment round will have to choose the freeze option. On the other hand, if the candidate is not satisfied with the allotment they need to choose the withdraw option. The floating option will also be available for those who wish to accept the allotted seat but would also like to try for higher preference in the next round of seat allotment.
To confirm the acceptance seat, the candidates will have to remit Rs. 60000. The amount for the SC / ST / PwD candidates is Rs. 15000. Candidates will be able to pay the amount online, by following the instructions given on the provisional admission letter. All the best for the journey ahead.
