The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has released the admit card for the upcoming Northern Region 1 (NR 1) exam for Diploma Trainees to be held on August 13, 2021. The total number of vacancies under Diploma Trainee (Electrical) is 30 while that for Diploma Trainees (Civil) is 05.
To download the admit cards, candidates must visit powergridindia.com and head straight to the ‘Career Section’. Now, they have to click on ‘Job Opportunities’ and scroll down to Section ‘B’ – ‘Regional Openings’. The candidate must then click on the Northern Region-I, Delhi Recruitment and find the ‘Recruitment for the post of Diploma Trainee (Electrical/Civil) in NR-I’. After that, they must click on the login link and enter their Registration email ID followed by the Registration Number to view and download the admit card. Note that no admit card will be sent via post and candidates can only download them from the official portal.
Since the admit card will contain details like the candidate’s name, address of the examination centre, date of birth, roll number, parents’ name, etc. it is important that the candidate checks these details carefully. Moreover, the admit card should be download on an A4 size paper and must contain the requisite examination and CBT information. It is mandatory for the candidate’s photograph and signature to be printed in colour or else the admit card will stand invalid.
The written CBT that is scheduled to be held on August 13, 2021 will contain objective type questions in two parts. Part I will comprise of Technical Knowledge Test/Professional Knowledge Test (TKT/PKT) and carry 120 questions of 1 mark each. Similarly, Part II will be an aptitude test and have 50 questions of 1 mark each that will cover vocabulary, verbal comprehension, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, data interpretation, etc. There will be a deduction of ¼ marks for wrong and multiple answers. The test will be organized in both Hindi and English.
All types of electronic devices like mobiles, pagers, iPad, tablets, etc. are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. If any candidate is found to carry one, then they will be disqualified. Even if any candidate carries one, then they have to make arrangements for keeping them at their own risk outside the examination hall.
