The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released an official notification for the recruitment of the post of Assistant Section Officers (ASO) in Group B of Odisha Secretariat Service. Interested and eligible candidates will be able to submit online applications from January 20, 2022 up to February 19, 2022. A total of 796 posts will be filled for OPSC ASO under which the pay scale will be as per Level 9 Cell 1, i.e. Rs 35,400.
Eligibility
The applying candidate must have attained a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 32 years as on January 01, 2021. However, candidates from SC, ST, SEBC, women and ex-servicemen will get a relaxation of 05 years. Similarly, PWD category candidates will get an age relaxation of 10 years.
In terms of educational qualification, the candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or other equivalent qualification. In addition to that, they must possess adequate information in Computer Application.
Exam Fee
The non-refundable and non-adjustable fee for OPSC ASO 2022 recruitment application is Rs 500 only. However, candidates from SC and ST of Odisha and PWD categories have been exempted from paying the application fee.
Selection Procedure
There will be two stages in the entire OPSC ASO 2022 recruitment. The first stage is a recruitment examination is the written examination that is objective and will have MCQs. Candidates qualifying for the first stage will then be called for the second stage which is the Skill Test in Computer which is a qualifying round. The final raking if the candidates will be as per the marks obtained by them in the written examination.
Application Process
Before filling the application form, candidates have to first read the official notification carefully. All applications have to be submitted via the official website and not by any other means. The official website of OJAS is opsc.gov.in. Candidates will be required to upload scanned copies of photograph, full signature and left thumb impression. They must also keep two copies of the latest passport-size photo that will be uploaded during online application.
The online registration process has to be completed first after which the unique permanent public service account number (PPSAN) will be generated. Admission certificates for the written examination, as well as the skill test, will be uploaded on the official website in due time.
