The Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan will be conducting the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) this year. As per the latest updates, Rajasthan Chief Minister has already announced that the REET 2022 examination will be held on May 14 and 15 across the state. With the declaration of the exam dates, it is now expected that the official notification will be published soon.
This time, a total of 20,000 posts for teachers is going to be filled. In addition to that, provisions are going to be made for special teachers as well. The government has already given instructions to solve problems related to para-teachers, panchayat assistants, education workers, etc. However, until the official REET 2022 notification is released, candidates can take a look at the syllabus and exam pattern to start with their preparation.
Exam Pattern
REET 2022 is going to be conducted for two papers namely Paper I and Paper II. The division is mainly because the exam is conducted for two teaching levels. However, both papers will have 150 questions each for a maximum of 150 marks. For every correct answer, 01 mark will be given. There is no negative marking in the exam. The only difference is that Paper I has five sections while Paper II has four sections. Candidates will be given a duration of 150 minutes to solve each paper.
Syllabus
As mentioned already, Paper I of REET 2022 will be for those for Level 1, i.e. from classes 1 to 5. The first paper has a total of five sections namely Child development and pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. Each of these sections in the question paper will be allotted 30 marks.
For Paper II, the REET syllabus includes four sections namely Child development and pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics and Science or Social Studies. Except for the first three sections, the last two sections are optional and candidates can choose either of them as per their interests and specialization. The first three sections are of 30 marks each while the third optional section is of 60 marks.

REET is conducted every year to determine the eligibility of candidates in terms of teaching. Paper 1 is for candidates who desire to teach classes 1 to 5 and Paper 2 is for classes 6 to 8. Candidates qualifying for the exam will be given a certificate holding a lifetime validity.
