Northern Railway Central Hospital, New Delhi is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill up vacancies for the post of Sr. Resident in various disciplines. The hospital has published a detailed notification in this regard at the website nr.indianrailways.gov.in. Selection of the candidates is to be done through walk-in-interviews scheduled to be held on January 28 and 29, 2021.
A total of 32 vacancies are announced by the Hospital. All of the vacancies are for the post of Sr. Resident under the Sr. Residency Scheme at the Northern Railway Central Hospital at Basant Lane, New Delhi. The vacancies are available in various disciplines including Anesthesia, ENT, General Medicine, General Surgery, Microbiology, OBS & Gynae, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pathology, Pediatrics and Radiology. Applicants must ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria as specified by the Northern Railway Central Hospital before appearing in the interview. On the interview date, at first, the document verification process is to be held following which, only the eligible candidates are to be allowed to appear in the interview.
Applicants have a PG qualification in the concerned speciality recognized by the Medical Council of India. A PG Diploma in the concerned speciality is also acceptable. Candidates must have a DM/DNB qualification in oncology/onco-surgery to apply for the speciality of Oncology. The qualification must be obtained before the date of interview. In case candidates with PG qualification are not available, the posts are to be filled up by selecting MBBS candidates who have at least 3 years experience out of which, one year must be of the Jr. Residency Scheme in a government hospital of 300 or more beds.
For General and UR candidates, the maximum age of the applicants is 37 years while for OBC and SC/ST, the upper age limits are 40 years and 42 years respectively. Candidates can check out the relaxed age limit in case of non-availability of candidates within the age limit in the notification. Applicants are required to have valid registration with the MCI/Delhi Medical Council or any other State Medical Council. Registration with the Delhi Medical Council is however mandatory and must be obtained before joining.
Selected candidates are to be appointed for an initial period till August 17, 2021. The tenure of employment can be extended to one year subject to the Railway’s approval. The total tenure can be extended to a maximum of 03 years duration based on performance. Selected candidates are to be appointed in the Level 11 -of the pay matrix in the scale of Rs 67700-208700 as per the 7th CPC matrix.
