Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board is accepting online applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill up 580 vacancies advertised through Advertisement No. 05 of 2020 Dated 24-12-2020. The advertisement is available at the website of the Commission i.e. jkssb.nic.in. The Commission has recently revised the starting date of accepting online applications. JKSSB has also released the complete schedule of events related to the conduct of selection tests (written test & skill tests) for different posts. The Skill Test for Jr. Assistant post is going to be conducted from March 20 to April 15, 2021. The Written exam for the post is scheduled to be held from May 15 to 20, 2021. Skill Test for Jr. Scale Stenographer post is going to be conducted from April 15 to 25, 2021 while the written exam for the post is going to be conducted from May 05 to 15, 2021. The written exam for JE (Civil & Mechanical) posts are going to be conducted from May 20 to 25, 2021. Skill test for Driver posts are going to ve conducted from June 01 to 15, 2021 while the written exam for Driver posts are going to be conducted from June 20 to 25, 2021.

The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board has specified certain minimum eligibility criteria for candidates who are intending to apply for recruitment to fill up the advertised vacancies. As per the official notification, the upper age limit is 40 years although relaxations are available for candidates belonging to special reserved categories as indicated in the notification.
In addition, applicants must be suitably qualified in order to apply for recruitment to concerned posts. Candidates with Class 10th pass qualification can apply for posts such as Driver, Work Shop Attendant. Class 10th pass candidates who have an ITI qualification can apply for posts such as Works Supervisor, Jr. Mechanic etc. Candidates with a degree in a relevant discipline of Engineering can apply for posts such as Technical Officer and Research Assistant.
