The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test Post Graduate (NEET PG), 2022 exam is to be conducted on May 21, 2022. The application portal for NEET PG 2022 is active now. Eligible candidates can apply at nbe.edu.in. According to the NEET PG 2022 Information Bulletin, the cut-off date for internship was set at May 31, 2022. The National Board Of Examinations In Medical Sciences has released a new notification, according to which the internship completion cut-off date has been extended to July 31, 2022.

The extension of the cut-off date is a good news for MBBS students, who are currently doing the internship. This will give them more time for training and practice. It is mandatory that candidates who are applying for the NEET PG exam should have completed atleast 1 year of internship. The decision has been taken, by considering the impact of the COVID pandemic on MBBS students, who were unable to attend the classes or do their internship due to the lockdowns in the country. Pre-Covid, the internship cut-off date has been March 31, every year. But last year, owing to the COVID pandemic, the cut-off date was extended to September 31, 2021. This will also encourage more MBBS students to participate in the exam, as they will satisfy the eligibility criteria.
The decision is accompanied by the extension of application process and the re-scheduling of the exam. Earlier the exam was to be conducted on March 12, 2022; but it is now postponed to May 31. Also, the last date to apply has been extended to March 25, 2022. The admit card for the NEET PG exam will be released on May 16, at nbe.edu.in. According to the schedule, the NEET PG 2022 results will be declared by June 20, 2022.
