Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued a latest recruitment advertisement to fill up 1700 vacancies for various District/Divisional/UT cadre posts in departments of the State Government. Advertisement No. 04 of 2020 containing the complete information about the recruitment and selection methods is available at the official website i.e. jkssb.nic.in. Eligible candidates of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir only are invited to apply online at the official website starting from December 27, 2020. The last date of submission of online applications is January 16, 2021.
The vacancies are available across 6 departments for posts such as Librarian, Jr. Assistant, Jr. Stenographer, Binder, Photographer, Chemical Assistant, Lab. Assistant and others. JKSSB Recruitment 2021 For 1700 Vacancies Detailed Advertisement
JKSSB has indicated some minimum eligibility criteria for each one of the advertised posts. The upper age limit for Open Merit candidates to apply for any post is 40 years. Similarly, the upper age limit is 43 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST, RBA, ALC/IB, EWS, PSP, and OSC candidates. Candidates belonging to PwD category can apply till the age of 42 years. For ESM candidates, the upper age limit to apply is 48 years while for Government Service/Contractual Employment, the upper age limit is 40 years.
In addition to age, candidates must also ensure that they fulfil the post-specific minimum educational qualifications before applying online. For instance, candidates with BA/B.Sc/B.Com qualification and holding a Bachelor’s degree in Library Sciences can apply for the posts of Librarian. Similarly, any Graduate with knowledge of Typewriting and minimum typing speed of 35 WPM can apply for the post of Junior Assistant. Aspiring candidates are advised to refer to the detailed advertisement to check the complete eligibility conditions applicable for each post and ensure that they fulfil the same.
JKSSB is to conduct a written test and subsequent document verification for final selection of eligible applicants. The written exam is to be based on an all objective-type question paper set in English and consisting of MCQ type questions only. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer in the exam.
The Board will release the details of the syllabus of the exam corresponding to each post in due course of time. Furthermore, details of the examination are to be uploaded on the website around 2 weeks before the exam date. The admit cards for the exam are expected to release around 1 week before the exam date. JKSSB will also release answer keys of the exam and accept objections till a fixed date. Final answer keys will be published subsequently based on which, evaluation of the candidate’s response sheet is to be done.
