Defence Research & Development Organisation has published a latest recruitment notification to fill up vacancies for the posts of Junior Research Fellow at the official website. The detailed advertisement for 10 vacancies is available online at the website drdo.gov.in. Eligible and intending candidates are invited to apply for the recruitment offline in the prescribed proforma only. Candidates have to send the filled up application form along with copies of specified documents to the Director of NSTL, Visakhapatnam. The last date of receipt of offline applications is January 15, 2021.
As per the detailed advertisement, the vacancies are available under the Naval Science & Technological Laboratory of DRDO in Visakhapatnam. There are 04 openings in the Mechanical Engineering discipline, 03 in Electrical & Electronics Engineering discipline and 03 in the Computer Science & Engineering discipline.
Selected candidates are to be appointed for an initial period of 02 years only which can be extended further as per norms of DRDO NSTL. During the employment tenure, appointed incumbents are entitled to receive a monthly stipend of Rs 31000. In addition, candidates are also entitled to receive House Rent Allowance as per rules of the organisation.

Applicantts must note that they fulfil the specified eligibility criteria indicated against each post before applying for the recruitment. The maximum age of the applicants is fixed at 28 years as on the last date to apply. However, relaxations on the upper age limit can be availed by certain reserved category candidates only.
There is no relaxation on the requisite educational qualifications. Candidates must have a B.E./B.Tech degree in the respective engineering discipline along with NET/GATE score in order to apply. In addition, those who have a M.E./M.Tech degree in the respective disciplines with first division in Graduate and PG level are also eligible to apply. Candidates must have acquired their Graduate and PG degree in the same discipline in order to apply.
Selection of the eligible applicants is to be done through Interview only. However, the organisation may not select any candidates to fill up the vacancies if a suitable candidate is not available. It may also be noted that selected candidates are to be awarded the JRF without any right for permanent absorption after the completion of the fellowship.
Those who are residing in and around Visakhapatnam have to appear in the interview to be held at NSTL premises in Vigyan Nagar. However, outstation candidates are to be interviewed through web-based video conference. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the website for further details of the interview process.
