Days after the dates for the JEE Main 2022 exam have been revised, a new confusion has arisen over the clashing of dates with other exams. As per the revised schedule, the first session of the exam will now be held from June 20 to 29, and the second session from July 21 to 30. However, it has been reported that both sessions are now clashing with other entrance examinations.
The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra is going to conduct the MHT CET 2022 exam from June 11 to 23, 2022 while the SRMJEEE test is scheduled from June 25 to 26, 2022. Clearly, these dates clash with the first session of the JEE Main 2022 exam. On the other hand, the BITSAT entrance exam is going to be held over two sessions and the dates clash. While the first session of BITSAT will be held from June 20 to 26, 2022; the second session is scheduled from July 22 to 26, 2022.
Dates rescheduled for the third time
This was for the third time that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has rescheduled the dates for the JEE Main 2022 exam as a result of protests from a large section of students. Initially, the exam was scheduled from April 16 to 20, 2022 but the students from CBSE claimed that the dates overlapped between the term 1 and term 2 exams. When the dates got rescheduled from April 21 to May 04, 2022; they got clashed with other state board exams.
At this point, it seems unlikely that NTA will reschedule the dates for the fourth time. The state and private colleges are expected to reschedule the dates. However, officially, nothing is known at this point. The registration process for the first session of the exam is over. The dates for city intimation and downloading admit cards will be announced later on the official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Students unhappy
Meanwhile, it is advised that the students continue with their preparation rather than getting perplexed and stressed about this new development. Since it concerns a majority of the student community, the exam dates for other entrance exams are likely to get revised. For the best preparation, students must ensure that they remain productive for the entire day. They have to develop a passion for the subject they think they are weak in. Although boredom could pose great difficulty at this point, changing books can be of great help. Lastly, it is important to attempt mock tests and analyse one’s performance as much as one can.
