Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has revised the dates of VIT Engineering Entrance Test to avoid clashes with JEE Main examination. The examination which was supposed to be held from June 17 to 25 will now be conducted from June 30 to July 06, 2022. The results of the entrance test will be declared on July 08, followed by the counseling for qualifying candidates. Interested candidates can apply for VITEEE till May 30, either through offline or online mode.
Clash with JEE Main 2022
The dates of conduct of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) were revised again by NTA recently. Session 1 and Session 2 of JEE Main will now be conducted from June 20 to 29 and July 21 to 30, respectively. The dates of JEE have been revised thrice since its announcement due to clashes with several board examinations and other entrance tests.
VITEEE was scheduled to be conducted from June 17 to 25, which leads to a clash with Session 1 of the JEE Main examination. The dates have been revised to enable candidates to attend both examinations without any trouble. VITEEE will now commence a day after the first session of JEE has concluded i.e. on June 30.
VITEEE Important Dates
The registration process for VITEEE began on December 02, 2021. The last date to apply has been extended from April 30 to May 30, in light of the recent postponement of the examination date. Candidates can apply online on the official website of VITEEE viteee.vit.ac.in or through offline mode. The mock test for preparation will be available online on the official website soon after the registration is closed.
After the verification of applications submitted by candidates, a link to book slots for the test will be generated online as the examination is held in 3 sessions each day. The names of available test centers are mentioned in the information brochure. The admit card is expected to be out in the first week of June. The tentative date for the announcement of results and commencement of online counseling based on the ranks obtained by the candidates is July 08, 2022.
