Admit cards for the Indian Coast Guard 2021 examination will be released tomorrow, i.e. December 28. The online application process has already concluded on December 17. This upcoming preliminary examination will be for Assistant Commandant General Duty, Commercial Pilot License (SSA) and Technical (Engineering and Electrical) for the 02/2022 batch. A total of 50 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment examination.
Exam Date
As per the official website joinindiancoastguard.gov.in, the date and time of the preliminary selection examination will be intimated via the official website. However, tentatively, the examination will be conducted from early January 2022. Candidates have been asked to reach the examination centres at least 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the exam. The exact date will be notified well before time on the official website. Once allotted, the date, time, and venue of the Preliminary selection will not be changed at any stage.
Exam Pattern
The preliminary selection round will consist of Mental Ability Test, Cognitive Aptitude Test, and Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PP&DT). These tests will be in English only and are going to follow an objective-type pattern. In the PP&DT round, the candidate will be asked to speak and discuss in English. Nonetheless, they are free to speak in Hindi if they desire.
Syllabus
It must be noted that there is no official syllabus for the Indian Coast Guard 2021 exam. There will be questions regarding logical and verbal reasoning. In addition to that, there will be questions from statistical and analytical data interpretation as well. In the PP&DT round, the candidates will be shown a picture based on which they have to write a story. Likewise, the story is narrated and also discussed among the group members. This is just a rough idea of the tentative syllabus based on sources.
Candidates qualifying for the Preliminary selection will then be called for the final selection round. The date and venue of the same will also be intimated via joinindiancoastguard.gov.in. Tentatively, the final round is going to be conducted from early February to April, 2022. This round will consist of Psychological Test, Group Task and Interview (Personality Test)
The documents and certificates that will be required in the Preliminary round are going to be needed in the final round as well. These documents include two copies of the online e-admit card along with a recent colour passport-size photo. Other than that, the candidate has to produce the class 10 pass certificate and mark sheet, class 12 pass certificate and mark sheet, original degree certificate, identity proof, caste certificate (if applicable), character certificate, income certificate, and 12 recent passport-size photos with a blue background.
