As of now, the exact date for releasing the admit cards is January 03, 2022. The application process has already ended on October 07, 2021. GATE 2022 exams will commence on February 05, 2022.
Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur is all set to conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering or GATE 2022 on February 05, 06, 12 and 13, 2022. As per the official website, the admit cards for the exam will be available on January 03, 2022. However, there is no mention of the time at which the admit cards will be made available. Hence, candidates now seem to be in search of the exact time at which the admit cards are likely to be made available.
It is difficult to predict the exact time at which candidates can expect their GATE 2022 admit card. However, back in 2020, it is seen that the admit cards were released during the evening time, i.e. somewhere around 5 to 8 PM. Going by that trend, it seems likely that the admit cards can be expected somewhere around the same time on January 03.

Over the last five years, there has been a mixed trend in releasing the admit cards for GATE. However, the immediate three years show that the admit cards have been released in the evening. This makes it very likely that even this time, the candidates can expect their GATE 2022 admit card during that time. Nonetheless, it is still advised to keep an eye on the official website gate.iitkgp.ac.in for updates.
As and when the admit cards are released, candidates will be able to download them from the same website itself. The detailed steps to download the same have been listed below.
Step 1- Go to the official website gate.iitkgp.ac.in and find the link for downloading the admit cards
Step 2- Click on that link after which a login portal will open
Step 3- Enter enrollment number or email address first and then provide the password
Step 4- Specify the captcha and click on the ‘Login’ or ‘Submit’ button
Step 5- Click on ‘Download Admit Card for GATE 2022’
Step 6- Take a printout in an A4 size paper.
Please note that the link has not been activated and will be available on the stipulated date. The GATE 2022 admit card will not be sent by post or any other means. They will hold validity only if the candidate’s photograph and signature are visible clearly.
