ICAR has released the official notification for the conduct of the ICAR-National Eligibility Test ( NET -II) – 2018 on October 24, 2018. Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board will conduct the exam on December 27, 2018, to December 31, 2018. ICAR has also announced that the dates may vary and may extend to January in the event that the number of candidates increases.
The online registration for the examination will start from November 9, 2018, from 10:00 hrs onwards. The students have to complete the registration before the last date which is set on November 29, 2018, till 17:00 hrs. There no upper age limit to appear for the exam, however, the conducting body has set the lower age limit Candidate is only eligible to apply if he/she has attained the age of 21 yrs as on July 01, 2018
Students can appear for the ICAR-National Eligibility Test for as many time as they want to. As the candidate fill the application form for ICAR-National Eligibility Test (NET -II) – 2018 exam, they have to submit a fee amount of Rs 1000/- for the reserved category candidates, Rs 500/- for backward classes candidates and SC/ST/Divyang/Women the fee is Rs 250. The fee amount can be paid in the online mode through the Application form itself. Also, the Transition charges as applicable for the Debit Card/Credit Card/NEFT have to be borne by the candidates. The last date to make the payment for the Application form is set to be November 11, 2018.
The eligibility of the students will be considered before accepting the registration for the exam. The students have been provided the eligibility requirements for the exam in the official notification. Candidates appearing for the exam must possess a masters degree or any equivalent degree in any discipline or course given that the course /discipline get completed before December 31, 2018. International candidates who want to apply must note that they should be having the qualification from an International University which should be recognized as equivalent by the Government of India.
The exam is going to be conducted as an online Computer-based test (CBT). Candidates who wish to apply for the exam can select 2 exam centres where they want to appear for the CBT. However, the ASRB reserves the right to change the exam centre as per the availability. Students have been notified that they have to carefully select the exam centres as no request for the change of exam centre shall be entertained by ASRB
The students qualifying the examination get the required certificate issued by the ASRB which gives them the eligibility to work as Lecturures or assistant professors for the vanct positions released by the SLecturesulktural universities or Agricultural Universiies.
