There were many newspaper reports and various unofficial sources have also confirmed that the result for RRB ALP 2018 will be announced before Diwali. Now there are reports that the RRB ALP Result 2018 will be announced by October 31, 2018. Furthermore, the stage 2 CBT of the shortlisted candidates will begin from November 19, 2018. But are these reports true or just click bait?
The unofficial source has stated that the date for the declaration of the result and the date for conducting the second stage CBT has been confirmed by the RRB Allahabad officials. However, no such announcement has been made by the officials at their website, rrbald.gov.in. As per the unofficial sources, “the result will be declared within ten days after reviewing the modifications submitted by candidates regarding their additional qualification details, post preferences, options for RRB, exam trade, etc” as quoted by the RRB Allahabad official.
Honestly, nothing can be said for sure. There were some media reports which suggested that the result will be announced before Diwali. Now there are reports that it will be announced after Diwali. One point to note is that none of these announcements has been made neither on the RRB official website nor at their Facebook page or twitter handle.
How to check RRB ALP 2018 First Stage Result
However, the result will be announced soon and it is advised to the candidates to regularly check on the regional websites.
The result for RRB ALP 2018 as and when be announced can be checked online. To check the result, the candidates need to visit the RRBs regional official website. Then, click on the link for CEN 01/2018 Result. The candidates need to log in by entering details like ‘Roll number’ or ‘Date of Birth’. On submitting the login details, the PDF containing the names of selected candidates along with their roll numbers will be displayed on the screen. Download the same and take print out of it for future use.
Candidates qualifying RRB ALP 2018 first stage examination will be eligible to appear for the second stage Computer Based Test (CBT). RRB will release the Second Stage CBT information of the official website.
RRB ALP 2018 Stage Two CBT Exam
RRB ALP stage two CBT will be conducted in two parts (Part A and Part B). Recruitment board will consider Part A marks for merit preparation. Part B exam is known as a trade test and is considered as another qualifying exam. It is important two qualify in both Part A and B of stage two CBT.

In Part A exam candidates have to answer 100 question in 90 minutes. The minimum qualifying marks are 40% of total marks for the general candidates. For reserved category candidates, the qualifying marks are 30% for OBC / SC and 25% for ST.
Part B test will be conducted for 60 minutes (1 hour). The number of questions to attempt are 75. To qualify in 2nd stage exam candidates have to score 35% of the total mark.
Railway Recruitment Board will release separate Admit Card for 2nd Stage CBT Test. The officials will inform the candidate via SMS or email about the availability of the Admit Card.
