IBPS has released the admit card for the Probationary Officer (PO) preliminary exam today i.e. November 20, 2021. Applicants can check and download their admit cards from the official website, ibps.in. IBPS will be conducting the preliminary examination on December 4 and 11, 2021. According to the official notification, the result for the preliminary exam will be tentatively released in December 2021 or January 2022.
A total of 4135 vacancies across 11 banks were announced through the notification. The exam will be conducted online through the computer-based format. There will be three stages to the examination: Prelims, Mains, and the Interview. So far the eligibility criteria are concerned, candidates who have completed their graduation can apply. In addition, the applicant must have attained the age of 20 and not be older than 30 years as of November 10, 2021.
Candidates who applied for the examination can download their admit cards by following the steps below:
Step 1 – Go to the official website of IBPS.
Step 2 – Click on the link that says, “Click here to download online preliminary exam call letter for IBPS PO/MT CRP-XI”
Step 3 – A new page will open, where candidates need to enter their respective registration number and password to log in.
Step 4 – The admit card will be displayed on the screen.
Step 5 – Candidates are asked to download and print the admit card for future reference.
Probationary officers and Management trainees are recruited annually through the IBPS PO exam. According to the notification, the IBPS PO follows a certain exam pattern. As mentioned earlier, the exam is categorized into three stages: prelims, mains, and interview. The preliminary exam is for 1 hour and 20 minutes. It consists of 100 questions of 100 marks divided into three sections. For every wrong answer, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
The mains exam has 5 (4+1) sections with a total score of 200+25 marks and the duration for it is 180+30 minutes. There will be a descriptive paper in the main exam for the selection of candidates for the post of PO. A negative marking of 0.25 marks will be there for every wrong answer.
After clearing both pre and main examinations, candidates will be eligible to appear in the interview round for which 100 marks are allotted. Minimum qualifying marks for this round will be 40%. Candidates are advised to keep tab of the official website for further updates.
