The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has released the results for the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test or INI CET 2021 for the January 2022 session. AIIMS has published the result in the format of a pdf file. The results have been announced at 7.15 pm, around an hour before the expected time.
The examination took place in a computer-based test (CBT) mode on November 14, 2021. Candidates who have appeared for the exam can check their results from aiimsexams.ac.in. INI CET is conducted to admit eligible candidates to the 6-years MD, MS, DM, MCh, and MDS courses in AIIMS and other institutes in the country.
The pdf file contains 2 lists.
- MD, MS, DM (6 yrs), MCh (6 yrs) – 25666 Candidates have qualified
- MDS – 2543 Candidates have qualified
The results have been declared in the form of merit lists whose PDF version can be downloaded by following the steps given below.
Step 1- Visit the official website of AIIMS exams – aiimsexams.ac.in
Step 2- Click on the INI CET 2021 result/merit list option under the ‘Important Announcements’ category
Step 3- The PDF will be displayed
Step 4- Search for one’s roll number, category, overall rank, percentile, etc.
Step 5- Download and save the merit list on one’s device.
Shortly, the score cards will be released, which candidates will be able to download from the candidate login portal.

The percentile scores obtained by the candidate in the INI CET 2021 exam are going to be used to determine the eligibility for admission to the postgraduate seats in all the participating institutes. Candidates belonging to UR, EWS and sponsored, deputed, foreign nationals, overseas citizens of India will require a minimum cut-off up to the 50th percentile. However, the same for OBC, SC, ST, PwBD, and Bhutanese Nationals (for PGI-Chandigarh only) will be up to the 45th percentile.
In case of ties, the tie-breaking criteria will first consider the less negative marks and secondly, the candidate who will be older in age. The seat allocation process will be carried out through the online mode only. During the first and second rounds, nearly 8 times the number of seats will be called. The entire process will be based on the order of merit, candidate’s preferences and the reservation policy.
