Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has announced the results for the Rajasthan Administration Services (RAS) 2021 preliminary examination. Results have been declared in the form of a PDF document on the official website rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in. This PDF document contains a list of provisionally selected candidates.
Instead of releasing a merit list of selected candidates, RPSC chose to only display the roll numbers. And that too, without following any rank-wise order. However, those selected for the next stage are more concerned about the RAS 2021 mains Examination date rather than their rank in the preliminary stage.
RAS Recruitment Drive 2021 comprises of three stages – 1. Preliminary exam, 2. Mains exams and 3. Interview round. Candidates who qualify each stage will have to appear for the next stage. Although results for the preliminary exam have been announced, RPSC is yet to provide any tentative schedule for the mains exam.
A date sheet however, for the second stage is expected to release in a few days. Till then, candidates can take a look at the past-year records to know the tentative mains exam date. Based on previous-year trends, the RAS 2021 Mains Exam is expected to be held in June 2022.
In 2018, results for the RAS Preliminary exam were announced on November 26. Shortlisted candidates were then, required to appear for the Mains exam on June 25 and 26, 2018. Following this sequence of events, the RAS Mains 2021 exam is expected to be conducted on June 19 and 20, 2022.
Before 2018, the RAS recruitment session was conducted in the years 2016 and 2017. The preliminary exam was conducted on August 28, 2016, and results for the same on September 17, 2016. In the same year itself, the mains exam was conducted on December 26 and 27, 2016.
Going by this timeline of events, the 2021 mains exam could be conducted in February 2022. However, the schedule of events happening in case of RAS 2018 seem more in congruence with the RAS 2021 recruitment drive. Hence, candidates can expect the second stage of the recruitment drive to be held in June 2022.
An duration of 6-7 months is ample time for candidates to prepare for the RAS 2021 mains examination. By qualifying the second stage, candidates will be expected to appear for the interview session, bringing them one step to closer the getting recruited. Additionally, candidates must note that this is only a tentative schedule and RPSC is yet to confirm or reject this assumption.
