Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara has released the revised date for GSET exam 2021 today. The examination was previously scheduled for December 26, 2021. However, now the examination is going to be held on January 23, 2022, from 09:30 am to 12:30 pm.
The examination date has been pushed by one month hence now it is expected that the admit card for the GSET examination is expected to be released in January 2022. It is highly anticipated that the admit card for GSET 2021 will be released at least 7 to 8 days before the examination. The examination is scheduled to be held across 11 centers across the state.
From this year onwards, the university has included Philosophy and Geography in GSET 2021. Candidates who successfully qualify for the examination will be eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor in a different university. The minimum qualifying marks for the GSET entrance exam is 40% of the total marks for unreserved candidates. For the reserved category candidate, the minimum mark is 35% of the total assigned marks.
GSET 2021 examination is going to be held in the offline or OMR sheet-based mode. There shall be two papers 1 and 2 in the examination and both are going to be held in the objective mode. The 50 questions in GSET paper 1 will be based on reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness accounting for 100 marks.
Whereas 100 questions in paper 2 will be based on the subject opted by the candidate. Candidates will get 3 hours to complete the Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET). For each correct answer, 2 marks will be applicable and there is no provision of negative marking in the examination. The language of the question paper will be in Gujarati and English. The syllabus and level of the questions asked in the GSET exam will be equivalent to UGC and CSIR NET.
Once the examination is over, the concerned authorities will release the GSET answer key on the official website. After the answer key is released, the final merit list for the names of successful candidates will be released. Those who find their names in the GSET merit list will be eligible to join the state universities as Assistant Professor.
