Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh is conducting the entrance exams for various courses on the 26th of November 2021, for the January 2022 session. The result of these exams are expected to be out by December 06, 2021, and the counselling is expected to begin from December 16, 2021, onwards. The Oral Health Science (OHS) entrance exam is going to be a computer based test (CBT) and will be conducted in exam centres in Chandigarh, Delhi, and Mohali. It is a 90-minute exam from 9.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. A total of 100 multiple-choice questions will be asked in the paper and each correct answer will get the candidate one mark. .25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer. All the questions will be based upon the related field.
Candidates appearing for Fellowships and Post-Doctoral Fellowship PGI courses have to sit for the computer based test (CBT) from 9.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. 60 multiple choice questions will be asked for the fellowship exam and 100 multiple choice questions for nursing fellowhsip. the language of the paper is going to be English only. The exam will be conducted in Delhi, Mohali and Chandigarh. Each correct answer will add a 01 mark to the total count of the candidate and the wrong answer will lead to the negative marking of .25 marks. Part 1 consists of 30 questions of MD/MS/DM/M.Ch, level and will be in an MCQ format. Part 2 will have 30 questions based on fellowship/ post-doctoral fellowship.
The entrance exam for M.Sc courses is also going to be a computer based test (CBT), the duration of which might vary from 60 minutes to 90 minutes i.e 9.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m/10:30 am. Duration for M.Sc. (Biochemistry) and M.Sc. (Pharmacology) will be one hour and ninety minutes and for M.Sc./M.Sc. MLT courses the duration will be one hour and sixty minutes. Candidates have to appear for the exam in the following cities: Chandigarh, Delhi and Mohali. Objective type questions will be asked in the exam, which should be answered in English only. The paper will contain 50 questions of 100 marks. There is a provision of negative marking, hence .25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

- Pharmacology- 100 MCQs related to fundamentals of Human Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology and Pharmacology are to be answered in 90 minutes.
- Respiratory Care- The candidate is supposed to answer 50 MCQs related to related to Human Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology and Pharmacology within 60 minutes.
- Master of Audiology & Speech Language Pathology (MASLP)- 50 MCQs related to their respective field have to be answered within 60 minutes.
- Anaesthesia- 50 MCQs related to the respective field is to be answered in 90 minutes.
