The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the class 12th sample papers for the 2021-22 session on their official website. Students who are going to appear for the Term I board exams are advised to practice from these sample papers to enhance their preparations. The CBSE Term I examinations of the subjects, NCC, IT, and Shorthand English are scheduled to be conducted on November 26, 2021.

The conducting body has also released the marking scheme regarding the Term 1 examinations. The marking scheme for Shorthand (English) is provided by the conducting body along with the sample question paper. With the help of it, the students can analyze the marking pattern followed in the Shorthand (English) paper.
The examination is conducted in two parts: Part 1 consists of Employability Skills and Part 2 consists of subject-specific Skills. In part 1 of the examination, a total of 6 questions are asked consisting of 1 mark each out of which the candidates are required to attempt any 5 questions. 2 questions are asked from the three units namely: Communication Skills- IV, Self Management Skills- IV and Information and Communication Technology Skills- IV.
For part 2 of the examination, a total of 32 questions are asked consisting of 1 mark each out of which the candidates are required to answer any 25 questions. 8 questions from the unit Diphones, Essential Vowels, Medial Semi Circle, Upward & downward ‘L’, Upward and downward ‘SH’, 16 questions are asked from the unit Prefixes and Suffixes and 8 questions are asked from the unit General Contractions, Figures and Special Contractions. Maximum 30 marks are allotted combining both the parts of Shorthand (English) and the examination is conducted for 90 minutes.
