The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has concluded the first shift of today’s Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering or GATE 2022 today, i.e. February 13, 2022. With just one more shift left, today will be the final day of the entrance examination. The Architecture and Planning (AR) paper was scheduled from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. This year, GATE is being conducted in a fully computer-based test (CBT) mode. However, right after the completion of the exam, the examinees seem to be in search of the answer keys and question paper solutions.
How to check?
According to the official website – gate.iitkgp.ac.in, the answer keys will be available on the application portal February 21, 2022. Meanwhile, the GATE AR answer key 2022 is being released by educators and coaching institutes on YouTube.

Step 1- Firstly, go to YouTube at youtube.com
Step 2- Type ‘GATE Architecture and Planning (AR) answer key 2022’ on the search box
Step 3- A list of videos will appear on the screen
Step 4- Go through the question paper solutions to find the answer keys.
Since the examination is held in the CBT mode, it is very unlikely that the soft copies of the answer keys will be available right away. However, for some reference, candidates can find the direct links to GATE AR 2022 answer keys below.

Exam Pattern
The entire pattern of the Architecture and Planning (AR) paper was objective-type based. There were Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. Candidates were given a duration of 03 hours to complete the test.
The questions were mainly aimed to test the candidates’ recall, comprehension, application, analysis and synthesis skills. The AR question paper carried a total of 65 questions. These questions are further divided into 10 from General Aptitude (GA) and 55 from AR. The marks distribution is given below.
- General Aptitude – 15 marks
- Engineering Mathematics – 13 marks
- Architecture and Planning (AR) – 72 marks
The total marks of the question paper are 100. It must be noted that there will be negative marking in the GATE 2022 exam. For every 01 mark MCQ, 1/3 marks will be deducted. Similarly, for every 02 mark MCQ, 2/3 marks from the question will be deducted.
